What are Curriculum Collections?
'Curriculum Collections' are boxes of books, videos and other media that are loaned to schools by SLS. Each collection supports a specific curriculum topic and is usually loaned for one term. Who can order Curriculum Collecitions?
Schools in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough can order SLS Curriculum Collections. What Curriculum Collection 'topics' are available?
You can choose from the topics listed in the SLS Curriculum Collection catalogue - they support the local and national schemes of work (CAS and QCA) - click here. If you do not see a topic that suits your requirements, choose your own topic and we shall do our best to meet your requirements. How do we order Curriculum Collections?
Once you have chosen the Curriculum Collections that you require, there are two ways to order them...
- complete a Curriculum Collection order form and return it to SLS by post, fax or email. Order forms can be found at the back of the catalogue - click here.
- complete a Curriculum Collection 'e-order' on the portal, which is sent automatically to SLS - click here When can Curriculum Collections be ordered?
Curriculum Collection boxes are typically ordered three times a year at the end of term and are delivered to school by the first full week of next term. For current order schedule - click here.
Deliveries and collections outside of these times incur an extra delivery/collection charge. What do Curriculum Collections cost?
If your school subscribes to the SLS 'core' service - each class is entitled to borrow one 'whole' collection, OR two 'half' collections, per term as part of the 'core' service.
All other schools are charged per 'Half' collection (12-15 items) or per 'Whole' collection (25-29 items) based on current charging rates - click here to see.
